Summary:

There are many benefits for teachers to upgrade their instructional practice to embrace 21st Century teaching. This webinar will take a fresh approach to The Expanded Core Curriculum instruction utilizing 21st-century skills. Teachers of students with vision impairments will learn the components of 21st Century teaching and how they can incorporate them into their practice.

Learning Objectives:

  • Participants will identify the Expanded Core assessments and use them in lesson plan development.
  • Participants must be able to utilize ECC assessments and screening tools in order to diagnose weak areas for students.
  • Participants will identify the components of 21st Century teaching
  • Participants will analyze the differences between a focus on teaching and a focus on learning.

About your presenter:

Robbin Clark is an Expanded Core enthusiast! She currently serves as the Expanded Core Curriculum Coordinator at the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind and is the camp director for Camp Abilities Utah, a one-week developmental sports camp for children with visual impairments. Prior to her current work, she worked seven years as the vision rehabilitation therapist in the Children’s Services division at BESB in Connecticut.
