The Visual Impairment Scale of Service Intensity of Texas (VISSIT) was developed to guide itinerant teachers of students with visual impairments in determining the type and amount of service to recommend for each individual student based on student need in all areas of the expanded core curriculum.
This webinar details the purpose of the scale, demonstrates its use, and briefly reports the findings of its field-testing and initial validation study. The preliminary results of a larger scale national study on the VISSIT will also be shared.
