In this episode, Patrick and Rich interview Dr. Yue-Ting Siu about the difference between access and assistive technology, and the importance of students being taguth to use the right tools in school and later applications in life.
Dr. Ting also chats about important self-advocacy skills and how she supports her students to have their own voice to advocate. Her dream is that all materials would be in an accessible format so that students who are visually impaired can walk into the classroom and everything is ready – and not have to do all the additional advocacy.
