Canute: 9 line braille display

Take a look at this multi-line digital braille e-reader!

Canute 360 is the first “Kindle for the Blind”  is a multi-line digital braille e-reader and it is now publicly available! The Canute provide nine lines of text with forty characters per line. The Canute has 360 braille cells enabling the reader to:

 The Canute will turn text downloaded from a memory stick into braille. Currently the Canute is 14.5″ x 7.5″ x 1.5″ and weighs 6 pounds. The Canute currently sells for $2,500 and is available from the American Thermoform.

Note: The Canute is a braille e-reader. (It is not the same as a braille display or a braille notetaker.)
