2022 GenCyber Camps for VI Students

Introduced students to the Cybersecurity!

Cybersecurity  is the practice of protecting systems, networks, and programs from digital attacks. Cybersecurity is a promising career option with more unfilled positions than available employees. Interested in learning more? The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) is hosting a free cybersecurity camp for high school students with visual impairments.

When: Sunday, June 5 through. Friday June 10, 2022

Where: UAH campus in Huntsville, AL

Cost: No cost for camp (meals and lodging provided) and transportation assistance is available

Age: High school students with visual impairments (rising 9th grader – 12th; seniors graduating in 2022 are considered)

Experience: Students will learn cybersecurity skills through ands-on activities. Only basic computer skills are needed. Camp is designed to be accessible for students with visual impairments. Campers are encouraged to bring any assistive technology.
