Microsoft “To-Do” Task Manager Accessibility

Using To-Do with a screen reader.

Microsoft To-Do is an intelligent task management app that makes it easy to plan and manage your day. As educators – especially itinerant TVIs and COMS – it is helpful to use a task management app to organize and prioritize tasks. Use the To-Do to keep track of deadlines by adding reminders, due dates and notes to your to-dos. Microsoft To-Do syncs across all of your devices. Students can also benefit from using To-Do to keep organized! To-Do comes with your Microsoft Office.

Microsoft has created step-by-step instructions on how to accomplish various tasks in Microsoft To-Do using a screen reader. You can view these To-Do instructions here.

Have you tried organizing your To-Do lists by schools? As an itinerant COMS traveling to different districts and schools each day, I struggled with bringing the right tools and paperwork to each day. Organizing my task manager by days (i.e. schools) increased my efficiency and cut down on the amount of things that I stored in my car for “just-in-case” scenarios!  How do you use your task management system? Please share ideas in the comments below! How are your students using To-Do to keep their assignments/activities organized?
