Adapted Books for Student with CVI: Fruits and Vegetables

Check out these two books: Fruits and Vegetables

As the school year comes to an end, I wanted to share the last two digital books I created for my student with CVI who is working on scanning and visual complexity. Per parent request, I created these books about fruit and vegetables because the student is learning to identify and label these foods as part of her individualized curriculum.  They were created using the iPad, the Books Creator app and the Magic Eraser app. To eliminate the background from images to overlay on top of a background of a kitchen or grocery store, I use the Magic Eraser app. The paid version of the app imports all my images from Photos. I simply select the image I want to use, adjust the thickness of the eraser, shown as a percent, use my finger to outline the image I want to keep and erase the rest of the background. When I am finished, I export the image as one with a translucent background.
