ACVREP and CEU Credits for Paths to Technology Bloggers!

COMS, CATIS, and TVIs earn credits by sharing your knowledge!

Did you know that you – COMS, CATIS and TVIs – can earn free CEUs or ACVREP’s CE credits for writing and publishing qualified blog posts on the Paths to Technology website? Simply share your knowledge by reviewing your favorite app or device, sharing a lesson plan or teaching strategy, creating an accessible ePub book or other teacher-created resource, etc. Have questions? Contact us at [email protected]. Paths to Technology bloggers are just like you – educators in the field who write about their teaching experiences, successes (and challenges!) and tech-related lessons. It takes a collaboration to keep up with evolving tech – especially during these times with remote instruction!

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) is a measure used to assist educators to maintain their teaching license. Teachers of the Visually Impaired (TVIs) are certified by the state in which they work. Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialists (COMS) and Certified Assistive Technology Instructional Specialist (CATIS) earn Continuing Education (CE) credits which are approved by the Academy of Certification of Vision Rehabilitation and Education Professionals (ACVREP).

Note: Certified Low Vision Therapists (CLVT) and Certified Vision Rehabilitation Therapists (CVRT) are recertified through ACVREP and have the same recertification requirements as COMS. CLVTs and CVRTs can also receive CEs for writing and publishing approved blog posts on Paths to Technology.
