Yesterday, Microsoft unveiled its latest research project, Project Zanzibar. Project Zanzibar blends digital and physical worlds by sensing touch, gestures and objects. Using a physical smart mat and Near Field Communication (NFC) stickers, the software can detect, recreate and track objects. Project Zanzibar can be used for play - allowing students to bring their toys to life in interactive play, as a movie maker (animated videos) and gaming. Project Zanzibar can also be used for education, with interactive activities that provide guidance and feedback. Learn letters, spelling, math and simple coding - there is unlimited potential for educational learning!
