NVDA 2018.1 software update includes considerable improvement when browsing with the latest FireFox version and support for more Braille displays. Students should note that the new update also includes support for charts in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, similar to existing support for charts in Microsoft Excel.

  • Microsoft Word: When in browse mode, move cursor to the embedded chart and press enter to interact with the chart.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint: When editing a slide, tab to a chart object, and press enter or space to interact with the chart.

Press escape to stop interacting with a chart.
