About BlindSquare Enabled Airports

MIPsoft, makers of BlindSquare, the most used waypoint  navigation solution for persons who are blind or partially sighted,  has created a special version of BlindSquare, made available for use when entering or exiting BlindSquare Enabled Airports.

Access is enabled through the BlindSquare Event app, available for free on the iTunes store.

Travellers arriving at BlindSquare Enabled Airports, whether by ground or air, will be able to activate BlindSquare Airport Event automatically be provided with free use, regardless of location and continue with the support of BlindSquare EVENT for the next 7 days.

At BlindSquare Enabled Airports

Join us, in the celebration of independent travel as the ribbon is cut on Global Accessibility Awareness day 2017.  Press releases will be released in tandem with national blindness organizations in Canada and New Zealand (Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) and Blind Foundation) and the US sponsor (Bank of America).

Example Story

A traveller arrives at a BlindSquare Enabled Airport by car.  BlindSquare EVENT is started (or newly downloaded) from the iTunes store.  EVENT is automatically “enabled for use for 7 days”. The traveller flies to any world destination, knowing that they will continue  to have access to EVENT for 7 days to complete their journey on arrival.  Step outside, and things become easy and entertaining.  Hailing an UBER, picking a restaurant, searching for an address or a feature of interest – all at their fingertips.  This, regardless of location and regardless if the destination airport is BlindSquare Enabled.

When they fly back to their home airport, EVENT is restarted and automatically “recharged” for 7 more days, to support the continuation of their journey, home.

Step outside, the world is described as the journey continues.  This, to encourage and support independent travel for persons who are blind/partially sighted, freely offered.
